This project explores how a living room can be organised around a strong architectural feature, here a pair of arched windows, so that furniture, lighting and colour all respond to it.
The seating group is kept low so the windows stay visible from across the room, and the fireplace gives the group a natural centre.
02Design concept
Design concept
Repeat the arch at smaller scales in niches, mirrors and lamp shades so the room feels composed. Keep furniture low and sculptural to protect sightlines to the glass.

03Material & colour
Materials, colour & light
Materials include limewashed or plastered walls, timber beams, oak flooring, cream and checked upholstery, and dark metal window frames.

Inside the project
The fireplace anchors the seating group and keeps a large room intimate. Rounded forms soften a room with strong architecture. Handmade ceramics and woven texture keep a quiet palette tactile.
Imagine a space like this, made for you.
